Lauralee Lindholm
A high school valedictorian and a college graduate with honors, Lauralee has spent more than a decade traveling with her husband on their Christian missions across Africa. By the time they returned to the United States, they had learned six languages and gained a trove of powerful experiences with God that they wished to share with others.
Lauralee then went on to earn a master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language and became a teacher for over 18 years.
Today, even in her retirement, she still periodically returns to Ethiopia to help the church that grew out of their early work as part of a community development team. She had also started a Heart for Ethiopia bookstore to sell donated books and magazines. To date, they raised more than $1,600,000 for Ethiopian children’s education and promoting literacy among its women.
